Day 1

Buenos Aires, Argentina (Embark) ~ 6:00 PM

See this South American city which boasts vast cultural offerings, fine foods, and quaint cafes . The city that never sleeps lives up to its name with an exciting pulse of energetic people. Visit La Boca, birthplace of Tango.

 

Day 2

Montevideo, Uruguay ~ 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

Resting on the southernmost point of the Rio de la Plata, Uruguay's capital is a charming city. Tour the Establecimiento Juanico winery with buildings dating back to 1849. Wander the Plaza Independencia or take in the scenery at Estancia La Rabida.

 

Day 3

At Sea

Serving a wide variety of culinary delights to please every palate, our complimentary dining options include two main dining rooms, a help-yourself buffet and a variety of casual cafés, grills and on-the-go choices. Day 4

Puerto Madyrn, Argentina  ~ 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

If you want to see wildlife, go to the Punta Tombo Nature Reserve. Puerto Madryn is a gateway to remote wildlife preserves and Argentine patagonia. Visit the Paleontology Museum in the Chubut Valley. 

 

Day 5

At Sea

Enjoy a night of gastronomic proportions at one of our many specialty restaurants. Sip your favorite cocktail as you select from choice cuts of Angus beef at Cagney’s Steakhouse. Enjoy delicious pasta made with the freshest ingredients inside our rustic and chic Italian eatery, La Cucina. Or savor French cuisine at Le Bistro. No matter what you choose, our specialty dining options feature the tastes you’ll crave.

 

Day 6

Stanley, Falkland Islands ~ 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Arrive to the capital of the Falkland Islands, also known as Port Stanley and you’ll find a coastal town worthy of a jigsaw puzzle. This quaint city is home to a small population (so few are the residents that the town’s only “jail” can only hold thirteen people.) But it’s a place big on things to see and do. Whether you visit the Anglican Christ Church Cathedral, the southernmost cathedral in the world, or look for penguins.

 

Day 7

Cruise Cape Horn

Grab your camera and a great seat on deck for cruising the Patagonian channels along the southern coast of Chile. Your splendid sail through the majestic Chilean fjords includes the famous Tierra del Fuego along the Straits of Magellan. Your relaxing passage through some of nature’s most exciting creations offers vistas of azure waters around lesser known fjords as well as the world famous lighthouses of Cape Horn.

 

Day 8

Ushuaia, Argentina ~ 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Hike beautiful trails framed by the sea, forests, lakes and mountains. See Andean Condors and the rugged beauty of Tierra del Fuego National Park. Ushuaia is one of two main cities on the island territory of Tierra del Fuego.

 

Day 8

Cruise Beagle Channel (Glacier Cruising)

Bring binoculars and take a seat with a view for our majestic passage through the Beagle Channel in the archipelago of Tierra del Fuego. Named after the first ship to explore the area, the HMS Beagle counted among its crew a then unknown naturalist by the name of Charles Darwin.

 

Day 9

Punta Arenas, Chile ~ 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM

From the original name "Sandy Point," this southernmost capital city in Chile had its humble beginnings as sparse penal colony near the Straits of Magellan. Today, Punta Arenas is regarded as a geopolitical point of interest given its strategic location as a gateway to the Antarctic Peninsula.

 

Day 10

Cruise Strait of Magellan

Keep an eye out for Black Necked swans and the endangered Giant Condor. Sculptured icebergs, soaring fjords and Andean peaks are all around you. Visit the cascading waterfalls of Riserva Nacional Rio Simpson.

 

Day 13

Puerto Montt, Chile ~ 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

See the Osorno Volcano, often compared to Mt. Fuji for its perfect symmetry. Visit the jewel of the Lake District, Lago Todos Los Santos. Your gateway to Chile's Lake District, a land of green rapids, waterfalls and awesome scenery.

 

Day 14

San Antonio is your gateway to Valparaiso, just 30 miles up the coast. There, enjoy the charm and color of the hillside old quarter, or visit lovely nearby Viña del Mar and its famed floral clock. Head inland to Chile’s scenic Central Valley, the country’s breadbasket, and on to the Andes with their world-class vineyards and ski resorts. Or spend the day in metropolitan Santiago, considered the safest city in Latin America.
