Caribbean

Cunard Line® on Queen Mary 2®

December 22, 2019 - January 3, 2020
13 Days / 12 Nights

(Roundtrip from New York)

Day 1

New York

See the bright lights of the Big Apple, international mecca and melting pot, with expensive brownstones, colourful neighbourhoods like Greenwich Village and the Upper West Side and the legendary Central Park. Explore some of the world's great museums. Some come just for the shopping: there’s Bloomingdale’s on Lex, Tiffany’s on Fifth, Barneys and the unique boutiques along Madison.

Day 2 - 4

At Sea

There’s so much to do on board. From Afternoon Tea to the largest library at sea. Or spend your time relaxing in the large spa, complete with treatment rooms, saunas and pool.

Day 5

St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

An island of towering cliffs and mangrove swamp, not to mention one of the most perfect of all Caribbean beaches at heart-shaped Magens Bay. In Charlotte Amalie, named after a Danish princess, discover red brick Fort Christian and Blackbeard Castle – claimed by some to be the pirate’s former lookout. Most, however, simply seek out their own bounty in copious duty free stores.

Day 6

Roseau

Dominica is one of the Caribbean's most unspoiled destinations. Lush and mountainous, its rich rainforest embraces rare bird species, crater lakes, tumbling cascades which include the Trafalgar Falls, beautiful grottoes and hot springs. Divers will adore the teeming reefs and underwater fumaroles. It really is a natural paradise.

Day 7

Bridgetown, Barbados

Sample the unique British flavour as you stroll through historic Bridgetown, also referred to as ‘Little England’ and enjoy Bridgetown’s unique combination of colonial tradition and Caribbean vibrancy. The ribbons of welcoming sand which arc down the Platinum Coast remain a huge draw on this Caribbean favourite.

Day 8

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Its capital may be French in name, but St Kitts, along with neighbouring Nevis, is actually the Caribbean’s oldest British colony. We stop at beautiful Basseterre, whose Georgian centrepiece is the Circus, modelled on Piccadilly, with its charming Victorian clock. This scenic island looks simply stunning from the Fortress of Brimstone Hill. Volcanic slopes, verdant sugar cane and neighbouring islands are on view.

Day 9

Philipsberg, St. Maarten

What a setting – perched on a narrow strip of land between clear Caribbean Sea and the Great Salt Pond. This Caribbean gem is all about choice. From Philipsburg stroll along the inland salt lake or head for the gorgeous city beach. Search the quaint clothes boutiques or browse for duty-free bargains. It’s entirely up to you.

Day 10 - 12

At Sea

Queen Mary 2 is wonderfully grand. In her Queens Room, the largest dance floor at sea will be the setting for nights you’ll long remember. Illuminations is a luxury 3D cinema, a planetarium and a classical music venue. If you fancy a little shopping, fine boutiques centred around the ship’s magnificent Grand Lobby, provide a range of products from tempting souvenirs and gifts to exquisite jewellery and designer clothing.
